She felt a persistent buzz in her head, a constant hum of worry that she couldn’t shake. The bills were overwhelming, and the future seemed uncertain. The yard sale offered an escape, a chance to momentarily forget the weight of her responsibilities.

She spotted it immediately, a small, familiar form amongst a sea of discarded items. It was her childhood teddy bear, Edward. The bear's fur was matted, and one arm was hanging by a thread.

She picked it up, and a feeling of calm settled over her. She knew that holding the bear would make the worries drift away. The familiar softness of his fur brought a moment of peace to her, and the tightness in her chest seemed to loosen its grip. She bought the bear, and felt a tiny smile on her lips.
