The spreadsheet swam before Susan’s eyes, the numbers blurring into an indecipherable mess. Her head throbbed, a dull ache that refused to recede. She leaned back in her chair, the leather squeaking in protest. It was the same recipe. She knew it.

“The Perfect Pasta” - her homemade pasta recipe, now famous as the signature dish of a trendy restaurant. A colleague at the cooking school, had stolen the recipe. They were so well regarded, and she was not.

She closed her eyes, trying to focus, but the image of her recipe, her own work, flashing across the menus. She had to fight. She had to figure out how to reclaim what was hers.
