Gemotions

He stared at the blank screen, the cursor blinking mockingly. The words wouldn’t come. The deadline was tomorrow, and he was completely empty. His jaw ached, and his fingers trembled as he gripped the desk edge. A sense of impending doom had settled over him.

A small package had been delivered, addressed to "R. Bellweather, Esq." He frowned. He'd never heard of the man. The previous resident had been some sort of artist. He just couldn't deal with anything else right now.

He considered leaving it outside, hoping it would disappear. But, the mail carrier may be back. He picked it up. He told himself it was just a package, just a tiny thing. But the box felt heavy.
