The coffee mug vibrated against Amelia's trembling hands. The patent office letter felt like a lead weight in her already strained chest. Her creation, the self-folding laundry basket, was a stroke of genius, or so she thought until she received the devastating news. Someone, years ago, had already cornered the market.
