Gemotions

The world felt muted to me as I walked into the gym. The sounds of the practice, the squeak of shoes on the polished floor, the coaches' barked commands – all seemed distant. I felt a tight knot in my chest, squeezing the air from my lungs.

My gaze flickered over the players, their faces alight with anticipation. I knew what I had to do, but the thought of the disappointed faces that awaited me was unbearable.

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. It was my responsibility. It was the hardest part of the job.
