From his corner office, staring out the window, Daniel felt a familiar weight pressing on his chest. The city, usually a source of inspiration, seemed to close in around him, a cage of concrete and steel. He massaged his temples, trying to alleviate the headache that had been building since the morning's announcement.

His usual composed demeanor had crumbled. He hadn’t been able to concentrate on his tasks. The phone calls, the emails, the constant flow of information – all were a blur.

He found himself pacing, unable to sit still. Every footstep echoed the turmoil within him. The thought of the upcoming meeting made him wince, bracing himself for the inevitable. The view of the skyline offered no comfort today.
