Gemotions

The air grew heavy and stagnant. Sarah found herself pulling at the collar of her blouse, as if trying to free herself from a constricting invisible force. She hadn't been this agitated in years. Her deadline was fast approaching, and every second was precious.

Her thoughts raced, chasing each other in a frantic circle. The presentation, the budget, the meeting with the executives—all of it piled on top of her, crushing her. She wanted to scream. She wanted to break something.

"Try to breathe," her coworker, David, said gently. Easier said than done. The elevator seemed to amplify every feeling, every fear.
