Gemotions

Eliza stared at the account printout, her hands trembling so much that the paper rustled. Her legs felt wobbly. The vibrant colors of the living room felt dull, faded. She was supposed to be happy, but she felt as though she was crumbling.

She had to get out of the house. The walls were closing in, the silence was deafening. She felt the sudden urge to run, to escape. But from what? From whom?

She bit down on her lip, a habit she'd picked up recently. She needed a plan. She needed answers. This secret…it was slowly killing her.
