The constant chatter of the students, the endless demands, the lack of resources – it was all becoming too much for Ms. Ramirez. She was struggling to keep up, her thoughts were in a jumble. Her usual optimism had vanished, replaced by a deep sense of discouragement. She considered resigning.

A student, Maria, whom she had mentored through a difficult family situation, stopped by after school. Maria handed her a small clay pot, painted with vibrant colors. Inside, a small flowering plant.

"Thank you, Ms. Ramirez," Maria said softly, her eyes shining. "You helped me grow." Ms. Ramirez felt a sudden welling of emotion, a feeling of connection to something larger than herself.
