Gemotions

The meeting had been a disaster. Bad news all around, and the weight of it pressed heavily on Amelia’s shoulders. She needed to unwind. She found herself wandering around the apartment, restless. She grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, but couldn't focus on the images. She noticed a small, folded piece of paper peeking out from under the couch cushion. It was a list, scrawled on a yellow sticky note. It was clearly David's. "Build a treehouse," it began, followed by "See the Northern Lights," and then, "Learn to sail." A bitter taste filled her mouth.
