Gemotions

The blueprints for the fence were taped to his kitchen counter. He stared at them, the lines and angles beginning to blur before his eyes. It was a perfectly sensible plan, a perfectly reasonable proposal. Yet, something within him resisted.

He picked up a pen and began to doodle on the plans, creating a series of jagged, asymmetrical lines that bore no resemblance to the proposed design. He felt a small, almost imperceptible surge of satisfaction. The pen scratched against the paper, each line a deliberate defiance.

He crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash. He knew this wasn't going to be resolved.
