“You need to limit your physical activity, Mr. Davies,” the specialist had declared, after looking at the wrong file. “Your heart condition is… significant.” John pushed back from his chair, his shoulders stiffening. He’d just run a marathon last year. He ran a marathon almost every year.

He held back a retort, but the words were boiling within him. He did not have a heart condition. He felt fine. In fact, he felt fantastic.

He would be fine. He would not be told what to do when he knew it was wrong. He will go back to the doctor's office, and he will continue to run.
