“Don’t you think you’ve spent enough time in that dusty old house?” her sister had asked, exasperated. "Go out and enjoy the sunshine!" Sarah just glared at her, and the phone call ended abruptly. She felt a burning in her cheeks.

She was sure. The attic had a false wall, she could feel it. She'd spent the entire day hauling boxes, and moving furniture, convinced she was correct. She was not going to give in.

Heaving herself up onto a rickety stepladder, she ran her hand along the rough wood, her fingers tracing a barely perceptible line. She jabbed her fingers against a specific spot, and with a groan of protest, a section of the wall swung open.
