Alex stared at the screen, his fingers drumming a rapid tattoo on his desk. He’d spent weeks on the sculpture, painstakingly welding the metal, obsessing over the angles. He’d even skipped meals to finish it. He’d poured his soul into it! Dismissive? He scoffed.
