The news landed on Frank like a physical blow. His daughter, Jessica, was joining the Hare Krishna movement. He felt his breathing become shallow, his chest constricting with a sudden, sharp pain.

He found himself wandering the grocery store, aimlessly picking up items he didn't need, the bright colors and incessant noise of the environment overwhelming him. His usual sense of purpose was gone, replaced by a hollow echo.
