The bus rumbled down the highway, carrying Daniel to his monotonous office job. He felt a constant pull, like he was tethered to something he couldn't escape. He’d seen the lavish lifestyle of his friend, Michael, and his so-called "consulting" work. Now he knew Michael was just selling timeshares. The revelation struck Daniel like a physical blow. Daniel rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. The landscape outside the window blurred into an indistinguishable stream of green and grey.

"What's the point?" he whispered to himself.
