Gemotions

The world blurred around him. Robert watched the tow truck from his office window, a cold dread creeping into his bones. His car, his freedom, was being stolen. He felt the blood drain from his face, leaving him pale and clammy.

He wanted to scream, to run out there and stop them, but his legs felt like lead. He was powerless, a prisoner in his own life.

He turned back to his desk, the papers and files staring back at him with accusing eyes. Another day, another mountain to climb, and he was already at the bottom of the ravine.
