Gemotions

The weight of it all pressed on his chest. Every test, every drawing, every handwritten note from his teacher was laid out on the basement floor. His mother had saved everything. A knot formed in his stomach. He hadn't left the house in three days. He had bills to pay, decisions to make. He didn't know which way to turn.

He remembered the feeling of accomplishment when he finished a drawing. He stared at the vibrant colors, the shapes. Now, he couldn't even remember the last time he held a pencil.
