Gemotions

The old house felt even smaller tonight. The request, from Jason, the boy who used to make his life hell, had arrived while he was watching TV. His apartment was small. The television show seemed to be the same, all re-runs. He felt as if he could barely breathe. The same four walls he had spent the last two years inside, the same routine, the same fear.

He felt the years piling up on him, heavy and suffocating. He turned off the TV, the sudden silence deepening his sense of isolation. His life was a stagnant pool reflecting a distorted image. He was afraid to turn away, afraid to make any move. He felt like a prisoner in his own life.
