Gemotions

Ethan stared at his reflection, a stranger staring back. His hair was a mess, his eyes red-rimmed from lack of sleep. The knowledge of his roommate, Ben, reading his journal had been like a punch to the gut. All the doubts he’d harbored about his future, the anxieties about disappointing his family, were now exposed. He felt paralyzed, unable to move forward. He considered dropping out, running away, anything to escape the suffocating pressure. He went to the window, and stared out at nothing.
