Gemotions

I wanted to scream. The automatic plant-watering system, my carefully crafted design, had been beaten to the market by a conglomerate. I had spent so much of my time and money on this. I felt the pressure build in my chest, a tightening that made it difficult to breathe.

My breath came in shallow gasps. My fingers ran across the cold metal of the unfinished prototype. The weight of the world pressed down on me. The excitement I had felt at the beginning of this project had vanished. I felt as if I were being held down.
