Gemotions

The vibrant sunflowers seemed to laugh in his face. Their sunny disposition felt particularly cruel against the gloom that had settled over his entire being. He didn't even know if he felt sadness, or anger, or anything.

He had wanted to leave his current situation for a long time, yet, his feet were firmly planted where they were. Any decision felt impossible, any action seemed to require too much effort.

He found himself wandering around the flat, staring out of the window. The flowers remained where they were, a reminder of the things he couldn’t grasp. He felt a deep, pervasive feeling of being held down.
