She leaned against the window, watching the rain streak down the glass. The city looked drab, just like her mood. The air conditioning was blasting, even though it was freezing outside. They had told her to "mentor" this new kid, a bubbly blonde named Chloe.

*Another one to try and take my job*, she thought, her fingers drumming a slow, impatient rhythm against the cold glass. She had been here for five years, building everything up, and now... now, she was just supposed to hand it over.

“Okay, so, first thing… you’re going to need to learn to deal with the inevitable stream of angry emails," she said, her tone devoid of warmth. “Here’s the password for the account." She typed it in with a force that made the keys clack loudly.
