He moved like a sleepwalker, his steps heavy as he climbed into the attic. It was a pointless exercise, just like everything else. He was the only one who seemed to care about anything anymore.

A dusty record player sat in the corner, a relic of a different era. He wouldn’t even consider it; the past just felt like more weight on his shoulders.
