Gemotions

He sat in the sound booth, hands twitching, waiting for his turn. The other musicians had long since moved on, but his song was still a hit. On air, the lead singer’s voice, a woman, was a smooth, well-rehearsed imitation of his own. He rubbed the knuckles of his hand, and he wanted to change something, but he knew he couldn’t. The producer clapped him on the back. He just managed a weak smile, then, as the recording finished, he walked to the door and quickly left the studio.
