Gemotions

The wind howled, a mournful cry that seemed to amplify the discord within. He watched the massive spruce topple, crushing Mrs. Hernandez's garage. The scene barely registered. It was all a blur.

He had spent the morning wandering around his apartment, unable to settle. Every task, every thought, felt like wading through thick mud. The words on the page he was supposed to be writing remained an impenetrable wall.

He grabbed his jacket, then dropped it to the floor. The world was too much. He sunk onto the couch and stared out the window.
