The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small bakery, but even the familiar comfort couldn't penetrate the gloom hanging over Emily. She found the time capsule in the garden behind her new house, a place she hadn't yet made her own. The box held a collection of trinkets: a dried flower, a tarnished coin, and a small, handwritten note that spoke of hopes and dreams.
