Gemotions

“Good heavens!” exclaimed George, stumbling back from his kitchen window. The rhythmic pounding had instantly captured his attention. He cautiously peered around the frame, his shoulders rising slightly. The Johnsons, bless their hearts, had just begun tearing down their roof.

His vision was clouded, as if a veil had been drawn over his eyes. It was completely out of the blue. He’d only waved to Mrs. Johnson this morning. He reached for a chair, feeling a bit lightheaded. The sheer magnitude of the project made him feel a little unstable.
