Gemotions

The box, labeled "Memories," was heavier than she’d anticipated. Emily hauled it into her living room, her breath coming in short gasps. Inside, alongside photographs and souvenirs, were stacks of folders, each carefully labeled. Her schoolwork, from primary school to graduation.

She pulled out a crumpled, stained art project. Her lips parted slightly, a soft, involuntary sound. She remembered the day she made it. She ran a finger over the paint, the memory of her own childish enthusiasm flooding back. The sheer volume of it all, the detail, the care… it was overwhelming.
