“No way,” Leo muttered, staring at the Instagram post. His thumb hovered over the ‘like’ button. He didn’t press it. He reread the caption, again and again. The cheerful font proclaiming the restaurant’s closing felt mocking. He felt a strange tingling in his fingertips. The image – a photo of their famous tiramisu – suddenly seemed irrelevant, a ghost of what would no longer be. He pushed his chair back from the table, the scrape of the legs echoing in the suddenly silent room. He should have gone more often.
