The relentless Florida sun beat down, but David barely noticed. He'd been expecting a bargain on a lawn mower, not a trip down memory lane. Then, a glimpse of familiar stitching caught his attention.

He moved closer, his brow furrowed. It couldn't be. Not after all this time. He extended a hand, his fingers hesitating before finally reaching for the small, stuffed bear.

"You like him?" The seller, a man with a weathered face, nodded toward the bear. "Five dollars. Been in my attic for ages."

David stared at the bear, his throat suddenly tight. He imagined his younger self, clutching this very same bear.
