Gemotions

The old Victorian house creaked as Emily entered, the package resting on the hall table. The words, "For Mr. Theodore Finch, or Current Resident," did not register with her. She knew no one by that name.

Her breath hitched in her throat. She found herself circling the box, hesitant. She had a strange sensation, as if the package was watching her. She'd lived in this house her entire life, having watched the previous tenants come and go.

She finally picked it up, feeling a shiver run down her spine. The cardboard felt cold against her skin. Inside, nestled amongst tissue paper, was a collection of faded photographs. Each one depicted a different version of the same house, but from different periods in time.
