Gemotions

Mr. Henderson’s jaw dropped. He just stared. The delivery man had just handed him a massive bouquet of lilies, far too extravagant for a simple teacher's day gift. He fumbled for his reading glasses and squinted at the attached card. The looping script on the card looked familiar, yet alien.

He read the words aloud, his voice low. “Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself." The signature at the bottom read “Marcus.” His heart skipped a beat. Marcus? He hadn’t heard from Marcus in a decade, the boy he'd almost given up on during his sophomore year of history. He had always been so rambunctious, so full of energy, always in trouble.

He ran his fingers through his hair. He must call him.
