He had just started his day, sipping his morning coffee when he noticed a small package sitting on his doorstep. It was wrapped in brown paper, tied with a simple twine bow. Mr. Reynolds picked it up, feeling its weight. It was small, but he couldn’t guess what was inside.

He brought it inside, his curiosity piqued. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper, was a hand-painted mug. He turned it over. The bottom read “Best Teacher Ever!” He felt a warmth spread through him. He recognized the brushstrokes instantly: it was from little Timmy, a boy who had had difficulties but had worked hard.

He sat, staring at the mug, a broad grin spreading across his face.
