The email read, "Congratulations! Your photograph 'Solitude' has won the prestigious 'Emerging Talent' award." Liam had dismissed it as spam, deleting it without a second thought. Now, staring at the colossal billboard across from his apartment, his heart stuttered.

It was *his* photograph. The one he’d taken years ago, of a solitary tree silhouetted against a setting sun. The billboard was enormous, larger than life. A wave of disbelief washed over him, followed by a surge of anger. Who had done this?

He crossed the street, drawn towards it. He examined the small print at the bottom. The photographer was credited, but with a different name. His chest tightened.
