Gemotions

The announcement crackled over the intercom: "The party for Mr. Henderson has been officially postponed." A wave of nausea washed over Ben. He knew how much the staff at the nursing home had been looking forward to this, the smiles, the chatter, the joy it would have brought to the residents, especially Mr. Henderson, whose face would have lit up. He took a deep breath, fighting the urge to run. The sadness felt heavy, suffocating. He decided to visit Mr. Henderson's room, even though he knew there was nothing he could say to make it better.
