Gemotions

"This one," Michael said, pointing to a battered copy of *One Hundred Years of Solitude*. He liked the weight of the book in his hands, the familiar smell of old paper. A small, sealed envelope, tucked inside, caught his eye. He carefully opened it.

The letter was short, but heartfelt. It spoke of a love that was meant to be, of a life interrupted. A deep sadness settled over him. He found himself thinking about his own life and all the missed opportunities. He could almost feel the writer’s despair.
