The family gathered around the dining table, the antique silver tea set glinting under the chandelier. Aunt Clara, usually the picture of vibrant energy, sat quietly, her hands folded in her lap. My heart twisted.

I recalled the tea parties of my childhood, Clara’s warm laughter, the clinking of delicate cups. She’d always told us the silver was a family treasure, passed down for generations. Now, financial hardship was forcing her to sell it.
