"I just can't…," Daniel trailed off, unable to articulate the feeling churning inside him. The article about Finch's plagiarism accusations sat on his desk, his computer screen displaying a comparison of Finch's work and the original sources. Finch, the writer whose words he had studied closely, who had influenced his own writing style, had betrayed the trust of his fans.

He ran a hand through his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands. He thought of the writing workshop he had attended, the seminar on Finch's style. He looked down at the Finch book on his desk.
