The professor’s words, "misallocation of funds," echoed in Leo’s ears. The scholarship, the key to his research grant, was being reallocated to another student. He felt the blood drain from his face.

He understood the other person’s situation, probably a struggling student, whose heart must be racing now. He felt a strong… kinship for them. He felt it in his stomach, as if he knew them personally.

He went to the library, and looked up some information about the other student's area of study. He knew the person's name. Maybe, just maybe, he could help.
