Gemotions

The air in the storage unit was stale and dusty, clinging to the back of his throat. Michael had been tasked with clearing out his uncle's belongings after his death. He found a box filled with old photographs. His uncle had always been portrayed as a man of few words, a loner.

The pictures depicted a different story: his uncle in a band, a young man surrounded by friends, and another with a wife. It was a life he never knew existed. A sharp pang went through him.

He was surprised by the depth of his feelings. He could only imagine the pain and loss his uncle carried.
