Gemotions

The letter arrived in the mail, forwarded from the previous owner. It was from a woman claiming to be the victim’s daughter. A coldness spread through her as she read the letter, filled with anguish and a plea to understand. She thought about the young woman who had lived here, her life cut short.

She found herself walking through the house, her steps slow, her gaze searching. Every room seemed to hold a ghost, a whisper of what had been. The beautiful garden, once filled with life, now felt burdened by sorrow.

She decided to reach out to the daughter, to offer a space to heal. She wanted to understand, to somehow ease the pain. She wanted to offer something that could not be taken away.
