“Spend a year living in Paris” the words leapt out at Sarah. Her grandmother’s penmanship was shaky, yet determined. She had known her to be a homebody. She felt a profound… appreciation. She had no idea her grandmother harbored such a desire.

She sat on the floor, surrounded by old photographs. She thought about her grandmother, how she had raised her after her parents died. She noticed a hidden photo of her grandmother. She didn't recognize her. The photograph was her wearing a beret and smiling at the camera. She opened a bottle of wine, poured a glass, and decided to call her best friend.
