Mr. Evans was slumped in his chair, feeling like he had failed his students. He'd been particularly hard on himself after a heated discussion with the principal. A small parcel sat on his desk, obscured by stacks of papers. He hadn’t noticed it earlier.

It contained a well-worn copy of his favorite book, a collection of short stories. A note, penned in familiar handwriting, read: "For reminding me the world still has stories to tell. - Mark". Mark, the quiet boy who had loved to read, who was now a published author. Mr. Evans picked up the book and turned to a random page. He began to read, a small smile appearing on his face.
