He stared at the screen, the cursor blinking mockingly. David had painstakingly crafted the story, every sentence carefully considered, every word chosen with precision. Now, "By Eleanor Vance" shone brightly in the top corner.

He sat rigid, hardly daring to move. He felt a burning in his gut, a churning sea of anger and frustration. His jaw was clenched so tightly he felt a headache begin. The world around him seemed to blur, and his vision tunnelled.

He took a sharp breath, then another. He wanted to scream, but the words wouldn't come. He closed his eyes, and pressed his fingertips into his temples.
