He'd caught a glimpse of Emily, his roommate, earlier, her eyes lingering near the open book, her posture subtly shifted, a small detail that had set off a silent alarm in Liam's mind. Now he felt a tremor in his hands, a need to fidget. He shoved his hands in his pockets, feeling like a caged animal.
