The artist’s block was a familiar foe, but now it felt different, heavier. Amelia stared at the canvas, the blank white surface mocking her. Once, painting was her refuge, a solitary act of creation. Then, her son, Finn, discovered her art. He was now her biggest critic, her most enthusiastic supporter, and worst nightmare. Every brushstroke she made was scrutinized, every color choice questioned. He wanted to paint, too. He wanted to do it all, and he wanted her to help.
