"Hello?" Sarah whispered into her phone, her voice barely audible. Her stomach churned, a knot of anxiety tightening with each passing second. She’d found the wallet on the train, tucked beneath a seat. The amount of money inside was simply staggering.

She paced her small apartment, the worn floorboards creaking under her hurried steps. The silence of her home felt oppressive, the walls closing in. She glanced nervously at the window, as if expecting someone to be watching.

The voice on the other end of the phone was calm, reassuring, but it did little to quell the turmoil within her. Every word felt like a mountain she had to climb. The air was thick, and she had to fight to breathe.
