Gemotions

The shadows in her living room seemed to deepen as the rap on her window grew more insistent. She’d been playing the piano, barely above a whisper, trying to relax. Now she felt a cold dread begin to creep into her bones. She peeked through the blinds. Mr. Davies, her downstairs neighbor, was standing there, his face contorted in a grimace.

Her pulse sped up. She immediately wished she could just vanish. She quickly extinguished the piano's soft light. She was trapped. Trapped by the sound of her own playing.

She felt a buzzing sensation under her skin.
