The doctor’s words were a punch to the gut. The diagnosis was a death sentence. At least, that's what it felt like. His breath hitched in his throat, and he had to sit down. He felt a cold dread creep through his veins, numbing his limbs. He wanted to shout, to argue, but the words wouldn't come. He felt paralyzed, unable to move or think clearly.

He was instructed to attend a support group.

He found himself sitting across from a woman with striking red hair. The woman, sensing his apprehension, introduced herself. Her gaze was direct, unwavering. "It's a lot," she said softly. "But you're not alone." He felt a flicker of something in his chest, a hesitant spark of hope amidst the darkness that he was lost in.
